Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
Your journey begins in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or houseboat accommodation. In the evening, enjoy a tranquil Shikara ride on the iconic Dal Lake, surrounded by the majestic Zabarwan Mountain Ranges. This serene experience offers a glimpse into the traditional Kashmiri lifestyle.
Day 2: Srinagar to Sonmarg
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Sonmarg. En route, visit the Thajiwas Glacier, a stunning ice formation just 5 kilometers from Sonmarg. The glacier is accessible via a short trek or pony ride, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and lush green valleys.
Day 3: Exploring Sonmarg
Dedicate this day to exploring the natural wonders of Sonmarg. Consider a trek to Vishansar Lake, known for its pristine beauty and alpine meadows. Alternatively, visit Baltal Valley, a serene destination offering mesmerizing views of snow-clad mountains and lush meadows. It serves as the base camp for the annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage and provides opportunities for camping, trekking, and river rafting amidst pristine natural surroundings.
Day 4: Sonmarg to Pahalgam
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, a picturesque town nestled in the Anantnag district. Explore Betaab Valley, known for its lush greenery and Bollywood film shoots. Engage in activities like horse riding and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Day 5: Pahalgam Sightseeing
Visit Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. Enjoy snow sledging on a snow bridge here. Later, visit Baisaran, a picturesque location offering adventure activities like horse riding, pony rides, and zorbing. Relax in the beautiful meadows of this place.
Day 6: Pahalgam to Gulmarg
Drive to Gulmarg, known as the “meadow of flowers.” Take a ride on the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the world’s highest cable cars, offering panoramic views of the snow-covered peaks of Kongdoori and Apharwat. Consider a short trek to Khilanmarg, a picturesque meadow perfect for picnics and camping.
Day 7: Gulmarg to Srinagar and Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar. Visit Shalimar Bagh, a Mughal garden known for its intricate architecture and vibrant flowers. In the evening, explore local markets for Kashmiri handicrafts and souvenirs. Conclude your tour with a transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
